New Spinners
The spinners that we have been anticipating from the USA have finally arrived and they will be installed around 4 holes on the course before this weekend.
What are the new spinners you may ask?
The spinners are mounted on a wooden post and you spin the main wheel, when the wheel lands on the marker you have to perform that action. An example of an action is "to putt the ball with the handle of the club." The Spinners add a new twist to the game of our Black Light Mini Golf as no 2 putts are likely to be the same in your group.
Once again Glowgolf Docklands has introduced another first into Australia. If you have already golfed with us, then you must come back and see for yourself the differenece in game play that these make.
Amazing use of Black Light
Mini Golf at Docklands, Melbourne, is in Black light, others call it “Glow in the Dark” or “UV Lighting” the two very clever combinations of Mini golf and UV Black lights literally painted together using fluorescent colours illuminates depth, realism and unsurpassed detail never seen before. When you look behind the giant murals and the larger than life props you find that Glow Golf Black Light Mini Golf is based on old fashioned family fun at an affordable price. Julie says “what we have here is a really awesome presentation of an old fashioned theme." Mini Golf with a twist, The majority of our Mini Golf but is in the dark under UV lights where the fluorescent paints react and come alive. The most popular holes being in the Daintree forest.

Our indoor Black Light MiniGolf is available for anyone to play from the ages of 5 all the way up to 120 yrs of age. What better way to spend your time when looking for "Things to do" on Schools holidays. Drop off your child (12 years and over) and let them have a round or 2 and pick them back up after some light shopping. around of golf takes about 45 minutes to complete. have a second game for only $5.00 (Game has to be played immediately after the first game) Please note that Children under the age of 12 have to be accompanied by a person over the age of 16.
Attraction, now at the Docklands.
From Conception to Completion it has took three and a half years of planning and preparation inevitably changes occurred during the construction phase.
Plans for the future are to convert holes 11 to 16 to UV Black Light as well, this is expected to occur at the end of the year and finalised for the Christmas holidays 2010.
In the next couple of weeks we are “Once again” introducing another first into Australia”Spinners” four of these will be introduced around the course the idea is that you spin the wheel and perform the action stated. This will add a new twist to that hole every time you play.
Miniature Golf a small fun version of golf in which players use a putter to drive a golf ball in a number of holes on a small course that can feature alleys, bridges, and tunnels. Miniature golf was thought to be invented in 1929 by American Frieda Carter, who patented the sport as "Tom Thumb Golf." Mini Golf was popular by 1930 and also became known by such names as crazy golf, Putt Putt, Midget Golf, putt mini golf, extreme mini golf, mini golfing, glow golf, black light mini golf, 4d mini golf, mini golf classic, and adventure golf along with office and pro mini golf as well as a lot of other names. Today, there are thousands of miniature golf courses throughout the the world.
